Phone Overview
This page covers the global RedMagic 11S Pro. It is a gaming phone built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version, a dedicated RedCore R4 gaming chip, and an AquaCore liquid-cooling system that uses a fan alongside it. The back is transparent, so the cooling hardware is visible.
The China-market 11S Pro is a different phone: it has an 8,000mAh battery and no wireless charging, and a separate 11S Pro+ was sold there. The global model has a 7,500mAh battery with both wired and wireless charging. It is aimed at gamers who want RedMagic's newest cooling and charging hardware in a flagship-class phone.
Performance and Processor
The main processor is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version, with eight Oryon CPU cores (2+6) at up to 4.74GHz. The GPU is listed only as Adreno, with a clock speed of up to 1,300MHz, so the manufacturer does not name a specific model. RAM is LPDDR5X Ultra in 12GB or 16GB, and storage is UFS 4.1 in 256GB or 512GB. The Nightfreeze colour comes in 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB, while Subzero comes only as 16GB + 512GB. There is no memory card slot.
RedMagic also fits a separate RedCore R4 chip. RedMagic describes it as a dedicated gaming chip that works alongside the Snapdragon processor, handling in-game effects, super-resolution and power and heat management. It is an auxiliary chip, not the main processor. For cooling, the AquaCore system combines flowing liquid cooling, a 13,116 mm² vapor chamber and a fan rated up to 24,000 RPM. RedMagic publishes its own lab figures for frame rates and temperatures. Those are manufacturer tests under specific conditions, and SpecHub has not tested the phone.
Display Experience
The screen is a 6.85-inch BOE X10 AMOLED panel at 1216 x 2688 pixels (20:9), which works out to roughly 430 pixels per inch. It supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and is rated by RedMagic for up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage. Touch sampling is listed at up to 3,000Hz, with 360Hz for multi-finger input. The glass is Corning Gorilla Glass.
The 16MP selfie camera sits under the display, so there is no notch or punch-hole during games and video. Under-display cameras can give up some selfie quality in exchange for that clean screen.
Camera Experience
The rear setup is a 50MP main camera (f/1.88, 1/1.55-inch sensor, optical stabilisation) and a 50MP ultrawide camera (f/2.0, 1/2.88-inch sensor). A third rear sensor of 2MP is listed, but the manufacturer does not say what it does. No telephoto lens is listed. The front camera is a 16MP unit (f/2.0, 1/2.77-inch) under the display.
A larger sensor and a lower f-number generally let in more light, so the main camera has the stronger hardware of the two rear cameras on paper. The manufacturer does not list video resolutions or frame rates, so none are given here. SpecHub has not tested photo or video quality.
Battery and Charging
The global model has a 7,500mAh battery (typical value, single cell) with 80W wired charging and wireless charging of up to 80W. It also supports wired and wireless reverse charging, so it can charge other devices. A power adapter is in the box, but its output is not specified, so confirm that it supports the full 80W before relying on it.
SpecHub has not run battery or charge-time tests. RedMagic publishes its own endurance estimates from laboratory testing, which are not reproduced here.
Software and Features
The phone runs Android 16 with REDMAGIC OS 11.5, RedMagic's own interface. RedMagic lists Google Gemini features and a gaming layer called Game Space. Hardware gaming features include 520Hz shoulder triggers, a customisable Magic Key, a customisable RGB side strip and an X-axis linear motor for haptics.
Connectivity includes 5G (SA and NSA), Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band GPS, NFC and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with DisplayPort output. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack and a pair of stereo speakers. The phone has two Nano-SIM slots and does not support eSIM. It is rated IPX8 for water resistance under laboratory conditions, and RedMagic notes that dust can enter the cooling air duct.
Who Should Consider This Phone?
Gamers who play long sessions and want liquid cooling, shoulder triggers and wireless charging in one phone will find the most to like. It also suits people who want a headphone jack, a lab-tested water-resistance rating and a screen without a notch.
Who May Prefer Another Phone?
Photography-focused buyers may want a phone with a telephoto lens and listed video specifications. People who need eSIM, a lighter or smaller phone (it weighs 230 g with a 6.85-inch screen), or more than 16GB of RAM or 512GB of storage will need to look elsewhere.
Editorial Verdict
The 11S Pro is a cooling-first gaming phone. Its strengths are the high-clocked chip with a dedicated gaming chip, the liquid-and-fan cooling, the 7,500mAh battery with wired and wireless charging, and the headphone jack. Its limits are a camera setup that is not a priority, no eSIM or card slot, and a heavy body. It is a strong fit for dedicated mobile gamers and a poor fit for people who want a balanced camera phone.
