The Pixel 6 Pro was Google's 2021 flagship, released on October 28, 2021 at $899 in the US. It introduced the first-generation Google Tensor chip and a big redesign with a camera bar. It suits buyers who want a large display, 12GB of RAM and a triple camera in a Pixel.
The phone uses the first-generation Google Tensor (5 nm) with 12GB of RAM and storage of 128GB, 256GB or 512GB, plus the Titan M2 security chip. The Pixel 7 Pro that followed moved to the Tensor G2. SpecHub has not benchmarked the phone.
The 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display has 1440 x 3120 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. An optical fingerprint sensor sits under the screen.
The Pixel 6 Pro has a triple rear camera. Resolution, zoom and front-camera details are omitted because we could not verify them for this page. SpecHub has not tested image quality.
The battery is 5003 mAh with fast wired charging, fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Wattage figures are not listed because they could not be verified. We have no endurance tests.
The phone launched with Android 12. It has stereo speakers, a USB-C port and IP68 water and dust resistance.
Buyers who want a large, smooth display, 12GB of RAM and wireless charging in a Pixel will find it a good match, particularly at a secondhand price.
People who want the newer Tensor G2 chip or a longer software-support horizon should look at the Pixel 7 Pro or later. Those who prefer a smaller phone may like the Pixel 6a.
The Pixel 6 Pro offers a big LTPO display, 12GB of RAM and a large battery. Its main limits are its size and an older chip generation.
