This is an editorial analysis of the specifications listed on this page. It is not based on SpecHub lab testing, so it makes no claims about benchmarks, battery life or camera results. Manufacturer lab figures are not reproduced here.
The Galaxy S26+ is the mid-size model in Samsung's 2026 S-series, between the compact S26 and the S26 Ultra. It has the same 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm body and 190 g weight as the Galaxy S25+, with the same 4900 mAh battery capacity. It suits buyers who want a big, sharp screen without the Ultra's price and S Pen.
The chipset depends on the market: Samsung uses either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy or the Exynos 2600. RAM is 12GB and storage starts at 256GB. SpecHub has not benchmarked the phone, so no performance claims are made.
The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display has 1440 x 3120 pixels (about 516 ppi) and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is sharper than the 1080 x 2340 panel of the Galaxy S26.
The rear cameras are a 50MP wide, a 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto, the same layout as the Galaxy S26. The Ultra adds a 200MP main sensor and a second telephoto lens. Other lens details are omitted because we could not verify them. SpecHub has not tested image quality.
The battery is 4900 mAh, with 45W wired charging that Samsung says reaches about 69% in 30 minutes with a 45W adapter, and 20W wireless charging. We have no endurance tests.
The phone ships with Android 16 and Samsung's One UI. SIM options vary by market, with a Nano-SIM and an eSIM listed. Update-policy and water-resistance ratings are not listed here because they were not verified for this model.
Buyers who want a large, sharp display and a big battery in a mainstream Galaxy, and do not need a stylus or the longest zoom, are the target.
People who want the fastest 60W charging, a 200MP camera or a built-in S Pen should look at the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Those who prefer a compact phone may like the Galaxy S26.
The Galaxy S26+ pairs a QHD+ display with a large battery and a flagship camera set in a familiar body. Its main caveats are the market-dependent chipset and the absence of Ultra-level extras.
