The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was announced on May 13, 2025 and released on May 29, 2025. It was known as the Galaxy S25 Slim before launch. Its main feature is the body: 5.8 mm thick and 163 g, with a titanium frame and a 6.7-inch screen.
It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 12GB of RAM and has two rear cameras, a 200MP main and a 12MP ultrawide. Network bands and SIM layouts vary by region (model numbers SM-S937B, SM-S937U and SM-S9370), so check the exact model before buying.
Performance and Processor
GSMArena lists the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (3 nm) with two Oryon V2 Phoenix L cores and six Oryon V2 Phoenix M cores at up to 3.53GHz, and an Adreno 830 GPU at 1200MHz. The prime-core clock is listed at 4.47GHz by GSMArena and 4.32GHz by PhoneArena, and this page does not resolve that difference.
Memory is 12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of storage; PhoneArena lists UFS 4.0. There is no card slot. SpecHub has not run benchmarks on this phone.
Display Experience
The display is a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED 2X panel at 1440 x 3120 pixels (about 513 pixels per inch) with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The front glass is Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. A peak brightness figure is not listed on this page, and SpecHub has not measured it.
The 12MP front camera (f/2.2) records 4K video at up to 60fps.
Camera Experience
There are two rear cameras: a 200MP main (f/1.7, 1/1.3-inch sensor, optical stabilisation) and a 12MP ultrawide (f/2.2). No telephoto camera is listed, so zoom relies on the main sensor.
Video goes up to 8K at 30fps, with 4K at up to 120fps and 10-bit HDR listed. These are listed capabilities; SpecHub has not tested photo or video quality.
Battery and Charging
The battery is 3,900mAh, smaller than the 4,000mAh of the Galaxy S25 and the 5,000mAh of the S25 Ultra, with 25W wired charging (listed as 55% in 30 minutes) and 15W wireless charging (Qi2 Ready). GSMArena does not list reverse wireless charging for this model.
SpecHub has not run battery-life tests, so no endurance claim is made here. A thin body usually limits battery size, and this listing is consistent with that trade-off.
Software and Features
The phone launched with Android 15 and One UI 7, and GSMArena lists up to 7 major OS updates. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7 (tri-band), Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GNSS support for GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and BDS, and USB Type-C 3.2.
Other listed features are an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, Ultra Wideband, Samsung DeX, stereo speakers and IP68 dust and water resistance. There is no 3.5mm jack.
Who Should Consider This Phone?
People who want a flagship-chip Android phone that is unusually thin and light for its screen size, and who care more about slim design than battery capacity or zoom cameras, will find the most to like.
Who May Prefer Another Phone?
Buyers who want a telephoto camera, a larger battery or faster charging should look at the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which lists 5,000mAh, 3x and 5x telephotos and 45W wired charging. Buyers who want a headphone jack or a card slot need a different phone.
Editorial Verdict
On paper, the S25 Edge trades battery size and a telephoto lens for a very thin titanium body, while keeping the same chipset family and a 200MP main camera. It is best suited to people who prioritise slimness and weight.
